A simple concept; everything you design must have no straight lines…

Antonio Gaudí was a Spanish, Catalan architect, who belonged to the Modernisme (Art Nouveau) movement and was famous for his unique style and highly individualistic designs. Throughout his life he was fascinated by nature, studying nature’s angles and curves and incorporating them into his designs. Instead of relying on geometric shapes, he mimicked the way trees and humans grow and stand upright.

I didn’t have time to go and find the Sagrada Familia unfortunately but that does give me a good excuse to return to Barcelona…

Hammersmith Bridge in London when I was up there for a race the other week…at some horrendous hour. You can tell because the water is only ever flat at 6am-7am, and subsequently choppy as ever [as other rowers on this stretch of river know this only too well]. Thankfully the weather held out for a glorious day. The one time its sunny and I’m out racing…sod’s law but there you go…I got at least one half decent shot out of the weekend.

Archie behaved exceptionally well, waiting patiently for me to do my thing and then move on [I made it up to him when we got back with some sausages in his supper]…can you guess what it is yet?
Here’s another clue:
