New business cards arrived today!! They are nice and thick and weighty, I believe around 400gsm for those in the know. A big thanks to goodprint.co.uk for these, the quality far outstrips that of my previous ones, and will certainly leave the impression of quality I intend as befits the time and effort I put into my photos [not to mention the expected quality of the work itself!]. It’s very important to leave a good impression with prospective customers. It certainly pays for them to take away a good quality business card with your contact details, perhaps brief summary of your skills too so they know what you’re capable of. As to the design, I made it fit my website’s new look – with a space left for scribbling notes, as some people like to do…

In all, very cool. The down side? They’re so new I’ve not handed any out yet!!!

After a long time of development and code-bashing I’ve finally finished the update to lightoverwater.co.uk that you are viewing now.

There’s lots of nice things churning away in the background to make the use of this site that bit easier and more uniform, previously everything was a rather overly-elaborate mish-mash of pages and designs, all serving a purpose (mostly to confuse visitors!) but that needed a serious going over. Still to do are update the gallery to a decent portfolio and brush up a few other pages about the place but mostly we’re there. Bare with me whislt I iron out any noticed glitches – do let me know if there are any that appear by leaving a comment on this post, contacting me via the contact form (see above menu) or on the (somewhat more generic) comments page.

I it is now that much easier for me to make posts (when online!!) so keep checking back for updates and news on my photography, cheers

Hamish
