
Another great thing about this time of year is all the wildlife you can spot, getting going early on a cool crisp morning can rarely be beaten
. Yes, it can be a struggle getting out of a warm bed but the rewards can be immense. It is certainly the best time to go out searching for things…on a still morning sounds travel for miles, so if you’re careful and quiet you can hear all manner of things before they’re upon you. I’ve hidden in hedges and spotted deer racing across fields and had birds of prey wheeling above me as the hunt in the morning light. Even if the wildlife is sleeping in (!) you can almost always find small treasures at your feet…
