I’m out in the Alps at the foot of Mt Blanc for a few days chilling and enjoying my (massive!) surroundings. The light this morning was rather flat. Or to be precise completely dead thanks to thick fog but just now as I write its clearing away to reveal the white peaks around me, and some blue skies! The sun at this time of year never really gets that high so its perfect for almost all day landscapes…plus the light show you get at the end of the day is quite spectacular. last time I was here in the summer you I was out on the bike during the middle of the day not worried by not having a camera by my side since the light can be quite harsh. There’s a mixing of soft light and colours during the middle of the day now with – if I’m lucky – an evening glow made all the more amazing by the light reflecting off the snow.
The last few weeks have been a bit mad, job ending (was a fixed term contract so no surprises) and lots of clearing up and sorting out to do which meant little time to get out and take photos, much less post anything up here sadly. That said its all change now, I can put 100% of my time towards photography for the foreseeable future and hopefully that means keeping things rolling on here…! Right , better get out with my camera then to get the best of the light…I forgot to mention it moves really fast!
