…well, it seems I’m managing to fill the days pretty well at the moment and I’m sorry to say the camera is getting too much rest. All a bit mad actually but strangely most of it seems to fit one way or another, if only there were more hours in the day! Its that time of year again as the days draw shorter and temperatures start to fall with the reddening of leaves on the trees (usually!), the air becomes clear and crisp and dawn becomes a magical time, and a perfect excuse to be a little bit late in to work each day…!
My excuse tends to lie in something less magical but more physical. I’m training again, and pretty hard. The body is getting used to the early rise, exercise, work, exercise, sleep routine once again (a little bit of sleep might slip through during the ‘work’ part!) and wondering when it is I’ll have time to head out with the camera next…I guess committing to so many things means time must be split carefully, no faffing about and all that. I’ve got a few ideas of how to fit some photography in, even during training times and maybe a way of taking the camera out in the boat – will have to be on a very flat still day though, and with a dry-bag to be sure. I’m fairly stable in my boat after all these years but you can’t be 100% certain, heavy rain-fall can cause the river to swell making life not so easy! Regardless of the lack of recent shutter clicks I am getting fitter again…I’ve got a race in a couple of weeks which will be good to get back to again. Still got lots on the hdd to go through from the recent holiday in Wales to keep me occupied but the camera will always be in the bag ready to go just in case.
Another side to all this is Archie gets his share of runs…he’s at the door waiting to go now…
