
More churning, boiling water as a result of the rains in the mountains above us, once again shattering the picture-postcard views we had seen of the area.
At this point rain was falling heavily around us as we huddled beneath a big old tree beside the water, for what meager shelter it would give us, large drops still managed to find their way through the leaves and patter loudly on my head. Not so bad until they roll down your neck! Archie always seems to want to dive into water at any given chance but on this occasion he just gazed at the rushing waters rather tentatively, the uneven and turning surface being somewhat less inviting this time round…suddenly the sun broke through the clouds, creating static patterns on the moving water below, quite an interesting contrast I thought.
