Since my main computer was down I got to clearing this place up a little in the last few days, I have updated the photo gallery section a bit [general spring cleaning], as well as adding links to photos for sale available through the gallery I am represented by; Gallery2C, click here to go there. My portfolio there appears to be growing healthily – recent additions are the floral images and a few shots of the suspension bridge, the latter apparently being very popular, would be I guess given the location of the gallery…famous local landmark etc.
I plan on making regular submissions to keep things fresh and – for want of a better expression – really get my ‘stuff’ out there. Feedback so far has all been positive and some good interest being generated…so I can take the photos, its just getting the marketing bit nailed that counts. I believe there’s some saying out there about professional photography being 95% marketing and 5% actual photographic ability…I guess ‘they’ must be right because – and all due respect – there’s a great deal of ‘less than great’ shots out in the world today that people are willing to pay for! In fact I’m constantly reminded by friends and family that the images I produce could, and should, be out there making money…point taken and I do feel that I’m headed that way. So, watch this space!

Summer Floral Exhibition

There’s a new exhibition just started (since the begining of the month actually!) at the Gallery, and this is one of mine chosen to be included in the show.
“Funnel” is available in a limited edition run of 50 in any size you like [in the 1:1 form factor], from an excellently framed print to printing on MDF, Aluminium (awesome!) or Perspex and Aluminium sandwich (funky modern style). This and many other fine works of art are now up and on show, do pop in for a visit and admire the great stuff on the walls…like mine for instance!

Great news! Got a call yesterday from the Gallery about whether I had any more images of the Clifton Suspension Bridge (other than the one of mine they already had) as someone called looking for some, so I whipped round my hard drive and emailed a collection over (mainly from an earlier post which is what got noticed in the first place)…
Popped back in this evening to check they got the email and all the gubbins, and they’d only gone and sold two of them already!
Woo!

Well, its official; my work is worth something! Before Christmas I submitted some work to a gallery here in Bristol [Clifton], and I am very happy to report a number of my images have been accepted! This (above) is just one of the images available in the gallery, although it appears details haven’t been added for each image I will send in a few words for each to help things along, can’t hurt can it? Things like where it was taken, anything special about the localtion and so on. You can view all of the images on-line here or, if you are in the neighbourhood, drop in – its a great little gallery with some fantastic images…ahem!
