Henley Royal Regatta 2025
PArt 1: Up in the Air

I’ve just started to cool down following what was an incredibly hot Henley Royal Regatta. On day 1 I was lucky enough to be tasked with shooting some aerial photographs for the Regatta again. Treated to spectacular views of familiar scenes is quite exhilarating, so is dangling out of the side of a helicopter at 300 feet! It took a moment to adjust working again from such a dramatically different position, with all the action on the water taking place below me, but after a morning spent down on the ground enduring temperatures well into the 30’s (it was beginning to look like a VERY long week ahead) getting up above it all was something of a relief!

To hover a few hundred feet above Henley town centre and see the world famous regatta course stretch away in the distance towards Temple Island is a view I’m not likely to forget in a hurry. I’m pleased with what I came away with (and my clients are really happy with it all too!). An exciting start to my Regatta week without a doubt!
